Joy Howard, B.S.N., R.N. - Owner, Educator. Joy Howard developed Dental Ed, Inc. in 1988 and began a successul career of in-office OSHA training and consulting. She now consults with more than 450 dental offices, formulating policies and procdeures to maximize compliance with OSHA, Dental Board of California, EPA, and San Diego County Health Department regulations. Joy offers on-site training and has individualized and integrated written protocols of office procedures for private practices and clinics. In addition to her consulting, she has presented courses to Dental Practice Management study clubs, National University, Scripps Clinic Dental Seminar, Imperial Dental Society, Loma Linda University Dental School, San Diego County Dental Society, UCSD, Academy of General Dentistry, and the California Dental Association.
Julie Nyland - RDH / Educator As practicing dental hygienist for over 30 years, Julie has been a part of many dental office teams. She has learned to implement many changes in infection control and regulatory compliance. Her extensive knowledge and contagious enthusiasm toward patient care contribute to her value as an educator.
Vetha Pierce - Administrative Assistant Vetha Pierce comes to Dental Ed., Inc. with over 20 years experience in public relations and customer service. As the owner of Pierce Productions, she performs administrative duties and is a valuable member of our staff.
